Baxter isn’t your ordinary dog. A prior injury had left one of his legs longer than the other. DAS shelter staff believes that Baxter’s front right leg had been broken and healed without medical attention. Baxter’s front right leg is bent at a 45 degree angle just above his paw. Even with this malady, Baxter gets around just fine and has a delightful temperament. He has made quite a few friends at the shelter. “With his expressive yet playful demeanor Baxter would make an excellent pet for almost any family”

She loves to give kisses and is a very gentle girl for her age. Since she is black and brindle she will be hard to get adopted from the shelter – that combo just doesn’t do well there. ID#A145065: My name is RHINA. I am an unaltered female, black brindle and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix. You will find me in Dog Adoption, Kennel 11, Front Kennel. I have been at the shelter since Aug 15, 2011.
MORE INFO FROM A VOLUNTEER AT SHELTER:
Rhina is always, always very happy and greets everyone with a smile. Eager to please, she has been doing very well in working with DAS Volunteers to learn sit, stay & come. Her favorite activities include playing ball, running in the yard and of course cuddling in your lap afterwards. She does well in the public and has been a pleasure at adoption events. Rhina would do best in an only dog home, but may get along well with another submissive dog if greeted properly.

LONG TIMER NEEDS ADOPTION OR RESCUE!! THIS IS TIPPER - ID#A145716.This GIRL has been at the shelter too long and was pulled off adoption floor to make room for others. SO we know what that means.

I am an unaltered female, tan and white Black Mouth Cur and Labrador Retriever. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years and 2 months old. I have been at the shelter since Sep 01, 2011.
She is approx 65 lbs and shelter says she is a great girl!!!!!

Samantha has been at the shelter a while and is a great dog – per shelter she is a sweet girl – loves to give kisses and got along great with the other dogs. Really nice girl! The shelter thinks I am about 11 months old. I have been at the shelter since Sep 17, 2011.
