Sandler needs a home, part 2

Wow, what a wonderful dog Sandler is turning out to be. Sunday I had the pleasure of spending lots of quality time with him and he has been fooling lots of people. This dog is smart, smart, smart and already knows sit and heel, will play fetch if you tell him to get the ball and bring it back and then drop it. You must tell him, or he won't do it. He will also heel, right beside you, if you tell him to. Otherwise, he is off and running circles. I had him working on the agility equipment and although he has no fear of the catwalk and sort of mastered the weave poles, he couldn't quite grasp the jump command for the jumps so we can continue to work on that.
He also doesn't know down, paw or stay so we have some goals to reach.
He is still a work in progress but what progress he is making in such a short time. He just needs that one-on-one interaction, which most shelter dogs never receive, to become a one in a million companion. He will cuddle up and give kisses or lay and let you scratch his back so he is very affectionate.
Please keep him in mind if you are looking for an active companion who would love to find a human to bond with so he could continue to learn and grow and be all we at Satchel's know he can be. If you would like more information, please email comments@satchelslastresort.com.
