Lola's (a senior Poodle) family died, she needs a home

I am begging every human being or rescue group to please help me find Lola a home to spend the last of her days at. It is not fair that this sweet girl that has gone through the loss of her owners, and then the rejection of her owner's family has to continue spending her days being boarded at a vet's office in a little cage. Our rescue saved her from MDAS when her owner's family dumped her at the shelter to have her PTS. At the time we had a foster, who later on backed out on us. Unfortunately we have not had any luck finding her a home, and she has been sitting on a crate at the vet’s office for over 5 weeks now. She is such a sweet girl. Her only fault is that she goes to the bathroom often. Our vet is checking her kidneys, and putting her on Proin to see if that helps. We have even discussed just letting her go to rainbow bridge, rather than being in a crate day in and day out, but neither JoAnn nor I have the heart to do it. I will be traveling to the Orlando area next Saturday November 16 and can bring her with me that way. Her owners die and the rest of the family could not keep her so they took her to the shelter from where we rescued her before she would be put to sleep. No major medical issues detected, except she is a little overweight and goes to the bathroom often but we are trying some meds to regulate this. For her weight, she will need to have her food intake monitored to not exceed more that 1/4 cup twice per day and maybe a little daily exercise like a small walk can also help her. Her ideal family is one where there will be someone home all day to care for her. She is very sweet and wants to be next to you all the time.
