Nika, nothing but affection

Nika is one of the dogs at Satchel's Last Resort who would really like to spend her days in a home with humans and not a kennel.

She was left at the end of the driveway to Satchel's in a crate and the yard man found her there. We might have never noticed her. We got her in the car and took her to the vet since we had no history on her or if she was sick in any way.

When we arrived at the vet office, a person who had just lost a dog to cancer,who looked just like Nika, adopted her. Unfortunately, family circumstances have placed Nika back at the shelter to find a new home and some new humans.

You can’t meet Nika and not love her; she melts at your feet at the first sign of affection. She deserves a home with someone committed to her for life. She has a very strong prey drive, so she cannot be with any other animals, but she’d be a great dog for someone who has a fenced in back yard and who wants a low maintenance dog to snuggle with.
