Animal rescuers meeting with Detroit in effort to save dogs

I wrote about Detroit's policy in adopting pitbulls out several months ago. Unfortunately, it has taken a tragedy, the killing of Ace, for the city to finally begin to listen. I am sure there is a problem with fighting dogs in the city. I am just as sure there are many dog lovers out there who love pitbulls, just as there are in every state in the Union.
We are very successful in this area in adopting out pitbulls. They are very popular. That being said, many, many are put to sleep because there are not enough homes. Detroit must not be so lucky.
So I hope the city meets with the rescuers and they come up with a plan to stop the needless killing of pitbulls. Check out the story here.
