Special dog in Sarasota

Lady Godvia is a 3 year old tan/black brindle female
labrador mix who weighs 48 pounds.

She was surrendered to the HSSC on 10/14/08 because they could not afford to care for her. They had found her two months earlier. Lady Godiva was tested for heartworm upon her surrender. She tested positive. So while she has been with us we have brought her up to date with all of her vaccinations, micro-chipped her, spayed her, and treated her for heartworm. She is on exercise restrictions until 11/30/08 – leash walking only and will be retested on December 30.

Lady Godiva is good riding in the car and walking on a leash. She did live with cats with the family that found her. There were also young children in the home and she was great with them. She came in with another dog and seems okay with the dogs at the shelter.
She is gentle, playful, affectionate and friendly. She loves greeting everyone when she is out for her walks. Whoever adopts this girl is going to be very happy to have her as part of their family.

Please come by the shelter at 2331 15th Street in Sarasota and meet the lovely Lady Godiva. You can also check her and all her friends out here or call 955-4131 with any questions.
