Giving where it does the most good
With the backdrop of financial ruin for many people in the past year, it continues to amaze me how giving people are. When people are flush, which most of us aren't these days, they give freely. (at least most do) One of the things I have found out, even in a bad economy, people still give. Maybe not as much as normal, but the thought behind philanthropy is still there.
When you give an animal a toy, the joy the animal experiences is wonderful to watch, yet a new toy for most of us costs very little. When you watch a shelter cat or dog eat good food, which was bought with money donated, or purchased specifically for them, you realize just how big many people's hearts are.
Many who donate do so anonymously, but many don't. Either is okay in my book, because I think you are all great, for whatever reason you donate. Whether it is time, or money, food or toys, the animals who cannot speak for themselves do have people who speak for them. I am one of those people. So from the animals, who this community supports, please accept my thanks.
