Comments on Michael Vick
I have heard some interesting comments since my last post about Michael Vick. These have come mainly from animals lovers who simply want him to go away. There is a problem with that line of thinking.
Michael Vick is not going to go away as long as there is a chance he can revive his NFL career. The hope in most animal lovers discussions is no one team will be willing to suffer the wrath of the animal welfare community, who are against this man ever making money the way he was again. Speaking for myself, I think he should be required to take a job as a kennel technician and do some hard work for very little money. Pay his bills and take care of his family like normal people and ex-cons have to do. The chances of that happening are probably pretty slim, but I am all for keeping his name out there, keep people talking about the horrendous acts he committed, keep it fresh in everyone's mind. Don't forget. Don't give him the ability to sweep it under the carpet.
As long as people remember, we can have an impact. It is when horrendous acts are not discussed and debated, people forget. We don't EVER want anyone to forget what he did.
