Officials: Waynesboro's Animal Shelter Flooded with Strays, County Partially to Blame
It is stories like this which remind me we are extremely lucky to live where we do. The county in Georgia where this story takes place has no animal control. With no animal control, the strays, if they manage to survive, cross the boundary to the city and end up in the one shelter in the area. They are overrun with strays which results in even more animals being euthanized.
Check out the story here and the video of the cute puppies whose mother was a stray and was hit by a car when the pups were only two weeks old.
