Economy puts strain on Indiana animal shelters
This headline caught my eye, not because I am surprised, but because it is the same all over the country. This story is about Indiana, I read it in the Houston Chronicle and we feel the same pinch in our area. I understand people who don't know and love animals wanting to cut the budgets of Animal Controls, but can't we trim the fat first, before we begin killing animals just because it is more convenient to cut them from the budget than tightening our belts in other places.
