Pasco ready to put tighter leash on dog breeders
Oh how my heart is singing right about now. I love headlines like this. I don't think the law is tight enough, but it is a law just the same. A law which is meant to crack down on puppy mills and backyard breeders. They must have a permit and pass an anual inspection.
That a small, rural county like Pasco is one of the first counties to try and begin doing something about this problem just goes to show you it can be done.
Another interesting part of this law is it includes an anti-tethering clause. For the uninitiated, this means you will no longer be allowed to tie your dog to a fixed object outside.
