Things to warm your heart

You always wonder what happens to the dogs and cats you help when they are sheltered at a rescue. You hope they have gone to the perfect home and are happy. Then you see one and you know you helped save a life and create an animal that can be in a home and happy.

Snickers was a fav at the shelter. She was very, very timid until she got to know you. Hand shy, and there was discussion from the beginning on whether she was an "adoptable" dog.

One person was instrumental in saving her life and today, she lives in Lakewood Ranch and was caught on camera right after rollerblading with her new mom. They stopped to take a break and grab some water.

Her new mom says she is still shy, but the happiness is evident all over her face. Thanks Kelley, you are, as a friend of mine says, a dog angel. Her new name is Harley and she is happy.
