Frisky Felines of Fame: All by myself

Greetings: this is Toots,
I am still a little down since my sister's departure, but our favorite song "I'll Stand by You" keeps me going. I do have some new neighbors. They are a little on the rowdy side, but I guess that is ok.
I am still looking for that forever home, PLEASE, someone who will love and take care of ME. There are also special treats for Me just above my kennel since I am on a special diet.
Next week, Maggie May will be helping me with my article. There is just too much work involved for just one kitty.
Adoption Events at the HSSC with Special Adoption Fees: St. Catrick's Day - Saturday, March 14 - so please stop by.
Welcome to our newest shelter guests: SPOTLIGHTED Cats: Lucky, Mandy, Charlie, Snickerdoodle, Copperfield, Doc, Haas, Tyler, Copperfield, Brigit, Blue, Domino, and Itty Bitty
If you like Pina Colada's we have just the cat for you. Pina Colada is a 4 year old female who is gray and white with long hair. I almost forgot to mention our shelter pals all come with 30 days prepaid shelter insurance. Check it out here: http://www.sheltercare.com/.
Smokey Bear wants to remind everyone on March 8th we go to daylight savings time(spring forward). Please change your smoke detector batteries. If you need assistance or cannot afford a smoke detector please call you local fire department; they maybe able to help you.
Smokey Bear would also like to remind you to clear any dry brush from around your house. Have your escape plan ready and practice it so everyone knows what to do. There are also new window clingers are available to let the fire department know just how many animals are in the house in an emergency. $1.00 to benefit Jessie's Fund and available at the shelter.
Smokey Bear is also looking for a home. He is a 7 year old male, domestic short hair and his adoption fee is sponsored by Jessie's Fund. What wonderful markings this guy has on him. He has lived with dogs and male cats.
Hey LADIES, we also have just the perfect cat for you. Barry is 11 years old and a little on the big boned size(large side). Barry is a domestic short hair, black in color and would love to be your companion. He even comes when you call his name. His owner recently passed away. If you have room in your heart and home, he is ready and waiting for you.
Latest gossip: the barbeque was a blast. Lou Lou is very good at flipping and eating burgers. Finally Whisker had to take over or there would have been no food left. The cats on Woodie's Wing really like ham pieces. K.C even helped herself and put her head in the treat bag. Cally has now become the queen on Woodie's Wing. What she says goes. Charlie voices his opinion but she just ignores him and walks away.
As much fun as we have here we still would like that forever home. PLEASE, if you cannot adopt consider sponsoring one of our shelter guests. Call 955-4131 for more information or visit us all at 2331 15th Street in Sarasota.
Until next week, stay safe.
