The best intentions
I am always sad to see a story like this one which happened in Hernando County. A couple, with the best intentions I am sure, had all the animals in their care taken away due to neglect. This was an animal rescue which got out of hand.
Animals need care and it is costly to run any kind of shelter or rescue. If you do not have the support of the public in your area, you can fail miserably. Then, as in this case, all the animals are taken away. Over 200 will now have to be placed elsewhere, if they make it out of Animal Services alive.
Please support the animal welfare group you care about. One bag of dog treats or a soft comforter, One dose of heartworm medication or $5.00 can make all the difference in the world.
