Save the date for Saturday

This is the first gentle reminder to save the date for Saturday, September 13 for the adoption event of the fall. Senior Adoption Day has arrived at the Humane Society of Sarasota County. We have way too many mature animals who need loving homes. We are taking it upon ourselves this Saturday to alleviate this problem.

From 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., there will be a special adoption fee for any senior animal in the shelter. Our seniors must be 7 years old and have had a senior health check done We have plenty of dogs and cats who would love to spend the rest of their lives as your constant companion. Are you a senior? We have specials for you, too.

Do you like labradors? We have a beautiful, healthy 13 year old chocolate lab named Bear. He will steal your heart away. What about a beautiful German shepherd like Gypsy Woman?
Maybe your are looking for your own frisky feline. I would love to introduce you to Latinie, who is pictured here. She is front and back de-clawed so needs to be an indoor cat since she can't protect herself outdoors.

So drop by the shelter at 2331 15th Street in Sarasota. Have a cup of coffee or a soft drink with cookies for everyone. Look through our kennels and pick your new best friend.

There will be lots of volunteers there to help you and answer all your questions. These companions are all desperately seeking new homes. Won't you come out and help? Questions? Call 955-4131.

See you then.
