URGENT*****Sarasota County Animal Services is PACKED ****** Let everyone know so we can find homes for these dogs

Sarasota County Animal Services is PACKED with double the amount of dogs it can hold, and most dogs are doubled up in kennels together. We need community residents to help us get these dogs adopted. PLEASE PASS THIS ON.....
SCAS is urgently seeking adoptive families for the dozens of dogs that have filled shelter kennels while they await forever homes.
And some FOSTER homes are needed. (Need asap for a 7 y/o puggle & a VERY VERY SWEET pit x ).
Foster homes commit to helping to get the dog/cat adopted at off site locations, for as long as it takes, and helping the dog get acclimated to a home setting, ( crate trained, leash walking, etc). This is extremely rewarding, as you give the dog a temporary home while it waits for it's forever home. It is actions like this that enable SCAS to take in more stray dogs. SCAS & it's dedicated volunteers work very hard at saving every life, please step up and help us in this mission.
The number of adoptable dogs coming into the shelter is far outpacing the number of dogs being adopted.
Animal Services has contacted other shelters and rescues a daily basis to try to alleviate the overcrowding, but the other facilities are full themselves or recently took in animals from nearby natural disasters.
Sarasota County Animal Services is open Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday Noon-2:00 p.m.
