Donor gives $1.5 million for no-kill animal shelter in Detroit

Finally! After writing numerous items for the blog about the problems Detroit faces with their stray dog population, including the euthanization of all pitbulls and pitbull mixes, Detroit is about to get some help.
A California donor is giving the money to Detroit Dog Rescue to build a no-kill shelter. She had been following this group since last May. What a wonderful gift for the animals in Detroit.
