Golden Retriever Rescue of Southwest Florida saved this darling from a high-kill shelter in South Florida. It became apparent as soon as she was safe that she had issues with her right leg. She wouldn't put weight on it, and after extensive testing it appeared that she had suffered a traumatic injury to that leg. Her vets tried medication, therapy and supplements but it quickly became apparent that the leg was quite painful to her. Amputation is the only thing that can give her relief, and she is scheduled to undergo that surgery next Tuesday.
The surgery will cost roughly $2,000 and while a generous donor has pledged $650 toward the cost, GRRSWF is still in dire need of donations to help Nala.
Please, if you are able, consider making a donation for Nala. Your gift is tax-deductible. Checks may be mailed to:

Friends, I can tell you that my Shelby's life changed for the better once her cancerous leg was removed. The first two weeks following surgery were a bit rough, but we're coming up on two years of a pain-free and cancer-free life for Shelby.....she has grabbed the brass ring and never looked back. Please, let's give Nala that same chance.
Thank you so much!
P.S. Shelby sez....*Three paws up, Nala! Four legs is soooooo last year!!*
