Central FL- Many, many cool looking SMALL (and some larger) dogs available for adoption

Please share with your doggie loving contacts… just keep passing along ~someone down the line will see the face of their next fur-ever family member!  Others can only be saved if fur-ever homes are found for them… and the cycle continues….
(rescue friends- I am aware that everyone has many critters that are looking for homes but maybe we have had someone looking/asking for a particular dog?  As long as it comes from a rescue or shelter, helping rehome them is all good.)
MAY RESCUES

Okay, we have quite a list this month and need to get these little angels into their forever homes.

Nessie is a 6 y.o., 6 lb., spayed female Chihuahua.  She has had a rough time being passed from home to home.  She is very sweet and loving.  She gets along with other small dogs and cats.  She loves to run and play with small squeaky toys and loves to cuddle and snuggle.  Nesse is not good with small children.
***********************************************************
Doesn't this boy look like a little fox?  Spike is a 10 month old Chihuahua/ Pomeranian mix.  He weighs 5 lbs., is just the cutest little boy with a HUGE personality.  Spike is very adaptable, and is just waiting for the next adventure.  He is housebroken, neutered and up to date on shots.

***********************************************************
Harley is a MinPin/Chi mix.  He is 11 months old, 8 lbs., neutered, crate trained, and gets along with other dogs.  He is fast, energetic and smart as can be.  He is not a good candidate with small children.

***********************************************************
Jordan is a sweet little Cocker Spaniel/Doxi, or scottie or yorkie mix, 4 yrs, 16#, B/Tan, neutered, utd on vaccines.  This little boy has had a pretty tough life until he came in to rescue.  But he is a very happy guy with lots of love to share.  He is not good with small children.

***********************************************************
Ahh, Billy!  Billy is a mature boy who's family decided that they didn't want him any longer and took him to the shelter.  Billy is still  not sure what happened and when he will be going home.  He does not being left alone and cries, which is understandable.  He is 6 lbs., and just wants a home and someone to love him.

***********************************************************
Suzie is a Wirehair Doxi/terrier mix, 2 yrs, 16.9#, B/silver/tan, utd on vaccines, 10/21/11 tested neg for hw's, been on hw prevention and is spayed.  She was with Jordan in a very sad, neglectful home.  Suzie had a litter of puppies and is now looking for a loving home where she can be your little snuggle bug.   Suzie is also not good with small children.

***********************************************************
Sophie is a spayed female purebred Party-color Pomeranian, approx 5 years old, 11.6 lbs,  heartworm positive, up to date on all vaccinations.  She was rescued from a breeder who we have taken many dogs from in the past.  The good news is his breeding barn has been shut down and, he and his wife are no longer allowed to ever have another single animal.  Hopefully, they will both end up in jail.  But  Sophie deserves to see what it's like to be loved - unconditionally.

***********************************************************
We were trying to come up with a name for this beautiful boy, and came up with D'White Dog.  He is a Pom and approx. 3 y.o., 12 lbs.  D'White dog is neutered, up to date on shots and is heartworm positive.  He is a sweet, gentle snuggle bunny, or can rough house to whatever level you want to go.

***********************************************************
Peanut is thought to be a Poodle/Shih Tzu mix.  Peanut is approx 3 yrs old, neutered, hw negative and up to date on all vaccinations.  Peanut was found wandering the streets and picked up by the local animal control, no one came for Peanut.  Since Peanut was a matted mess and very afraid of all the noise  in the shelter, Peanut did not show well or behave friendly enough to be placed up for adoption.  Peanut has been in foster care with his friend Odie, and has become a terrific companion that loves to lay in your arms and have his tummy scratched.  Peanut weighs approx 15#.  Still in Pensacola, waiting for a a space to open up in Brooksville.

***********************************************************
What about Bob?   Everyone who has met this guy just loves him.  Bob is 2-3 years old, 30 lbs., and is just very handsome.  He loves to run and Bob and Bama will play until you finally break down and yell "treat"!  Bob is ready for his own home and you can't go on looking for a new member of your family until you have met Bob!  Can't say how he'd be with cats, because we don't have any here, but we would be happy to test him.  He isn't too happy about squirrels, so if you have a loving community of squirrels that sit with you enjoying the sunrise, Bob might not be the boy for you.

***********************************************************
Odie is a Carin Terrier mix approx 3 yrs old, tan and white, neutered, heart worm negative and up to date on all vaccinations.  Odie was confiscated from his owner do to his not providing adequate food, water and shelter.  Odie was very afraid at the shelter so was not placed up for adoption to the general public.  Odie has been in a foster home since he was saved from the shelter and his foster mom has done a wonderful job of getting Odie to trust again.  Odie is very friendly, gets along well with other dogs but would prefer a lap and cuddles and to be told how special he really is. Odie weighs about 15#.  Still in Pensacola, waiting for a a space to open up in Brooksville.

***********************************************************
Oh, Rupert!  This guy is unbelievable.  He is around 5 y.o., 60 lbs. and is the most distinguished boy here.  He looks old and wise, but no, he is young and full of tricks.  Rupert is adorable with the eyes of an old soul.  He will just sit and listen to all your troubles and still love you forever.  "Rue" loves to chase the ball and sometimes, he will bring it back and throw it back to you.  He has the happiest run you've ever seen.  Rupert is very gentle, knows basic commands and just loves to hang out and watch t.v.  He can be very intimidating to strangers, but just loves everyone.  He has the best smile EVER.

**********************************************************
Miles is a male/neutered Chihuahua, approx 2-3 yrs old, up to date on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, very loving once he gets to know you.  Crate trained and seems to be house trained. Good with other dogs, unknown how he would react around cats or children.

***********************************************************
Rosie has been here for 4 years now, and we think Ms. Rosie is now ready for her very own, forever home.  Rosie is a Beagle/Doxie mix, 4 y.o., 15 lbs., very shy and is looking for a quiet home with a quiet routine.  She's quite the homebody.  Rosie had a very, very sad start in life and it's been a journey.  We thought she would be our rescue mascot forever, but she's been thinking lately, that maybe she would like her own home, with her very own human to love and look after, yes, that would be just fine.

Rose is approx. 4 y.o., 31 lbs., dog and cat friendly, a bit timid at first, loves kids.  This beautiful girl was found cowering under a bush in a motel parking lot, with a chicken bone lodged in her throat.  Ms. Rose was rescued by a loving couple.  When the husband passed away, his wife went into assisted living and again,  this  very, very sweet girl  just wants a home to call her own.  She is spayed, is up to date on shots, heartworm negative.  Rose could lose a pound or two and is in training with the pack here.

 *********************************************************
Jacki is a female Jack Russel, that is about 3 yrs old.  Jacki is very loving and gets along with all types of dogs, unknown with cats or very small children.  Jacki is a puppy mill survivor and is looking for a home that will love and spoil her for the rest of her life.  Jacki is heart worm positive, will be placed on the slow kill method and will be fully vetted before adoption.

 *********************************************************
C.T., her initials stand for crooked tail, because she was born with a bend in the end of her tail.  C.T. loves attention and is very pushy to get it.  She always comes to her name and is a nice lap dog, but also loves being outside.  C.T. is spayed and all vaccinations current.  Crated at night and when unsupervised. C.T. is house-trained.   Nathan is C.T.'s father.  She is still hanging out in Pensacola with her dad.
*********************************************************
Nathan is a 8 year old, black and tan Dachshund, who loves to play ball and totally enjoys the outdoors.  Nathan is neutered and vaccinations are all up to date.  Nathan is crated at night and when unsupervised.  Nathan is C.T.'s father.

THIS BOY IS STILL MISSING - HAS BEEN MISSING FOR A YEAR NOW, AND SOMEONE IN THIS COUNTY HAS HIM.  Snowball is a 5 y.o. male poodle, 8 lbs., disappeared from Elgin/Sheffield in Spring Hill, FL.  He is microchipped.  Snowball was being treated for heartworms and is prone to seizures.  He has been missing since June.  He was not abandoned, we will NOT stop looking for home.  Please, return this boy.

ALSO MISSING: RAMBO WAS VISITING ON GRIFFIN RD.,  BROOKSVILLE, FL, WHEN HE GO OUT AND HAS BEEN MISSING SINCE THANKSGIVING NIGHT.  IF YOU HAVE SEEN HIM OR HAVE ANY INFO, PLEASE CONTACT ME.  HIS FAMILY STILL HOPES TO GET HIM HOME.

Please feel free to forward this e-mail to all of your friends, family and anyone you think would like to forward them on to their friends in hopes of finding homes for these precious angels.  We have many more waiting to take their place to find their own family to love and rescue them.  It never ends, but we will continue until they all find homes and no more are lost, hurt or abandoned.

Just want to thank Kim Huebner, a Certified Trainer in Brooksville who continues to evaluate and help work with the rescues.  Also, Dr. Marlene Pinera, who comes and checks out all of our new arrivals and has helped us through some tough times, both Kim and  Dr. Pinera have the most gentle spirit when working hands-on with these scared, hurt, sick and injured babies to get them ready for their new lives.  Kristi and Dave Anson for keeping the website up and going.  Mary Opall of Nature World Wildlife Rescue in Homosassa for her support, we work together transporting animals and sharing supplies.
