Please take a look at these smaller dogs and help if you can.

Shelter is very full, with lots of small breeds stuck in Isolation, with no foot path traffic from the browsing general public.  We need rescue help to secure the safety of all the below dogs.

Animal ID: A237518 Room No.: WDI40 Hi, I am an approximately 5 year old white and fawn male Lhasa Apso. I am friendly and I have not been tested for heartworms. I have been at Orange County Animal Services since Friday, June 15, 2012. http://apps.ocfl.net/dept/CEsrvcs/animal/NetPets/AnimalDetail.asp?ID=A237518&RT=T   Vet notes- OU - cataracts Focally extensive area of hair loss on dorsum at the level of thethoracolumbar junction. Skin in this area is mildly erythematous and theskin is peeling. Weight 14.4lbs Due out 6/22

Animal ID: A237534 Room No.: WDI25 Hi, the Shelter named me "Stella". I am an approximately 6 year old white and gray female Shih Tzu. I am friendly and I have not been tested for heartworms. OU - brown pigment throughout cornea, appears to have difficulty seeing Suspect dry eye. Rx Optimmune Ophthalmic Ointment - Apply ¼" strip to BOTH eyes 2X daily for 7 days. Animal ID: A236848 Room No.: WDI33 Hi, I am an approximately 7 year old white male Maltese-Mix. I am friendly and I tested heartworm negative. Weighs 6 lbs and is HW-. Per vet: The dog has a mature cataract in the right eye and an ulcer of the left eye cornea. Limited sight.   Due out 6/22

 

Animal ID: A236761 Room No.: WD54 Hi, I am an approximately 8 year old brown and white male Poodle Stnd-Mix. I am fearful and I tested heartworm Positive. Weighs 16 lbs and HW+. // 06/12/12 EVAL: Dog greeted me at cage and was social. Walks okay on leash. Allowed me to muzzle, touch ears, tail, and paws without incident. Dog showed no signs of food or dog aggression at time of eval. // Per vet: Dog has hair loss on the dorsal rump, tail, flanks, and distal rear limbs. Skin within these areas is pigmented and lichenified suggesting a chronic nature. Hair loss pattern is consistent with flea allergy dermatitis.   Due out 6/23   More Pictures Attached.

Animal ID: A237654 Room No.: WDI08 Hi, the Shelter named me "Nolan". I am an approximately 3 year old black male Lhasa Apso-Mix. I am friendly and I have not been tested for heartworms. I have been at Orange County Animal Services since Saturday, June 16, 2012.   Per vet notes: At the time of this exam the dog had considerable hair loss and bilateral cataracts. Skin scrape was ordered via clinic supervisor. The dog does have a bit of a wable in the rear as it walks however there is nothing that can be done for this issue at this time and it does not require medical treatments. The left eye has a slight lower eye lid entropion and might at times cause accumulation of metrial around the eye. At the time of this exam the eyes were ok and not in need of meds. The treatment for entropion is cosmetic surgery.   Due out 6/23   More Pictures Attached.
