Two Sarasota dogs need help immediately

From: ttreadw@scgov.netAs most of you know Garrett & Jill had been on medication for persistent kennel cough with possible pneumonia. After 3 rounds of 2 different medication for Garrett & 2 rounds for Jill we asked if anyone could assist with payment for chest x-rays & blood work to determine if there were any underlying issues as to why they aren’t responding. After a couple of volunteers offered to pay for Garret’s exam (and a few for Jill) Ashton A.C. Dr Walmsley did the procedure them, consulted with Dr Heidi Ward (at no cost) & they have determined that they both just have a deep seated kennel cough that will require medication & a much quieter environment.

So we’ll need a foster home for both of them (without another dog) for at least 2 months. The medication is being provided. We also need a few more donations for Jill.

Contact Ashton A.C. if you are willing to assist with payment for Jill probably best to talk to Dion today & Layla tomorrow. If you can medically foster one of these dogs please call adoptions 861-9523.
Thank you for everyone’s continued support. Our medical fund is very low & we only could budget for low amounts.
