Room with a view by Boris and Natasha

Hi everyone. Is it cold enough for you? I like this colder weather and I always have Natasha to snuggle up with. She has plenty of padding to help keep both of us warm and toasty.
Everyone here is doing well. Well, I guess that is relative to where we are. Those of us who call Satchel's their permanent home do not have the look of puzzlement in their eyes many of our newcomers have. You know the one, the glazed, where am I at and what happened to my family look?
We have plenty of newcomers who we are still getting to know. I know they could all use a special home. They may not be cut out for shelter life and would much prefer a family under their Christmas tree. I keep telling them it is going to happen. Sometimes just when you think your wishes won't come true, ta da, a family calls and wants to meet you.
The younger dogs are the ones who truly seem lost without a family, so if you are looking, please consider meeting one of them.
We have been extremely lucky this year. We have lots of blankets and stuff to keep us comfortable during this little cold snap. Of course, we love to run around and frolic in the cold weather. It is much more pleasant than the heat in the summer. We do have fur coats, you know. Some of us are a little more hairy than others. I have a wonderful short coat but several of our guests are so hairy, it would be hard to find actual skin through the hair. They won't have a problem staying warm. Sometimes I think the humans have a more difficult time with the weather than we canines do.
Well, it is getting closer and closer to the day Santa comes. I know who Santa is. He brings homes for all the good dogs. If you run into him before Christmas, tell him we have lots of dogs to find homes for. If anyone can do it, he can.
Until then, kiss your pets and let them know how special they are. If you have even more love and room for another one, please contact us at comments@satchelslastresort and check on who is available. You can make their dreams come true.
Love,
Boris
