Help our troops care for their feral cat colony
Please pass this along Let's show some Christmas Cheer with our troops
Hello--
A friend of mine sends boxes to soldiers through a site called www.anysoldier.com. On that site they list soldiers requesting certain items they have a hard time finding stationed where they are, and the requests are usually simple requests for socks, candy, toothpaste, etc. There is a standard military sized box you can pick up or order for free through the post office website or in person at your local post office and send a box to one of the soldier groups for a flat rate of about $12.50 or so. You will need to fill out a customs form also when you mail the box and there are some items you can't mail (please look at the anysoldier.com website for more information on what to send to humans).
There is a group of soldiers asking for cat related items, food and toys, for a feral colony they have adopted on their base. They have spayed and neutered their colony and are caring for these cats in a war zone. Please send them a card or support (regular postage rate of 44 cents) or a box if you can afford it. They probably wouldn't mind some snacks for themselves, too, but they only requested stuff to help the animals.
Here is the information to send a card or a box:

A holiday card or just a letter of support would be nice, too. They care about the animals, let's let them know we care about them! For more information on the program, go to the www.anysoldier.com website. There are K-9 units stationed overseas as well and also soldiers who adopt stray dogs in war zones.
