New fund for medically needy shelter animals

I received this through email today. Please read it and crosspost to everyone you know. This fund will benefit many animals.

So often individuals think about donating funds to help the animals with this rescue organization or that rescue organization that no one stops to think about those in the county shelters that may never have the luxury of being a member of a rescue organization or ultimately in a forever home... Help us go to the starting point of animals in need and that is to get them out of the shelters in the first place so that we can change the assumption that once they enter a shelter, they are automatically doomed to be put to sleep.

The sad reality of euthanization is that most animals with any type of medical needs are subconsciously labeled as 'lost causes' and that is a fact that could easily be addressed and changed! Please visit the Aide4Animals website and support our cause as we can only do this by working together. We ask that you cross post this plea far and wide because instituting this program at the ground level benefits everyone; not only the animals but the potential animal owners in addition to the rescue organizations that right now, or in the past, could not handle the expenditures of this medical need or that medical need thereby having to overlook the animal all together. By the incorporation of this Fund, heartworm positive animals and other special need animals will stand a chance. They deserve to be viewed as an equal to the dog next to them in their kennel run and now they can! Of course there will still always be the cross posts and financial sponsorship incentives from one individual to another to pull a specific animal in need HOWEVER no more final hour pleas for our facility based cross posters (like Veronica) to be up all night stressing about whether we can raise funds for this dog or that dog's required medical attention. The establishment of this Fund takes one negative aspect out of the equation and Orange County Animal Services, of late, has both been posting the heartworm sponsorship on an animal's kennel run AND on their internet profile once their heartworm status is known. Hopefully, more and more county facilities, will jump on board.
This email introduction is sent to hopefully start out 2011 with a bang and by asking those of you that have 2010 year end contributions that you need/have to utilize to PLEASE designate them to Aide4Animals. Those of you that received Christmas cash but don't really need anything right now; think of the animals sitting in the county shelters over the holidays; they are the ones in immediate need... SO PLEASE DONATE.
Each of you reading this are wished a Blessed and Happy Holiday and a Wonderful New Year from the newly formed 'Aide4Animals Team' of Janet Molloy, Rita Newton, Linda Rock and Veronica Weldon. Our New Year's resolution is to continue to work together in the upcoming year and we are asking each reader of this outreach transmission to please Help Us ~ Help Them through the use of this new form of contribution(s). All donations will be acknowledged by return receipt as each donation, no matter the size, is a TAX DEDUCTIBLE contribution to animal rescue. All funds received and utilized are set out for public view right on the website itself so all aspects of wonder as to the amount of money received, the amount of money available and the status of this animal or that animal's treatment are available to you at any time.
Respectfully,
The Aide4Animals Team
