Phoebe needs a home in Sarasota
I received this in email and am cross-posting on the blog in hopes of finding Phoebe a home. She is good with kids so pass this on to all your friends. She is also a senior who deserves a new home.
This is Phoebe, she needs a caring home. She’s 7 years old and full of life. She enjoys snuggling, walking, and playing outside.
Having to give up Phoebe is very difficult for us but our son has been suffering from a chronic cough and congestion due to a pet dander allergy that was discovered at All Children's Hospital. Therefore, we must find a new home for our Phoebe. She is a mix that we adopted from the SPCA 7 years ago when she was a puppy. She recently tore her ACL and she is recovering well from her surgery. She is already trusting the leg enough to walk on it. She gets along with large dogs and children but not cats. She is 7 years old and she is VERY loving! She is spayed, up to date on shots and she is currently 65lbs. We are not sure what breed she is. Her paperwork says Boxer/Lab but she also looks like she could have Pointer and American Bulldog in her.
I talked to a pet groomer and I was told that pet dander shampoos don't work as well as they should. She recommend I wash my dog once/twice a week with Johnson baby shampoo. Our son has been on singular for toddlers and it hasn't helped much. We have tried numerous avenues in order to keep her and it's too hard on my son's breathing.
We notice a huge difference when she's not around and it's better for the both of them. We hope she can have a quality life with someone who is willing to love her and take good care of her. She is an amazing dog and it's time for her to make someone else happy.
If you are interested in being her new owner or if you can foster her until we find her one, please call me, Heather, @ 941-360-3736 or email me at heatherrivero@yahoo.com. She has so much joy to bring to someone special!
This is a courtesy listing so please contact Heather directly.
