Memories of Copper

Several years ago, I came in contact at the shelter I volunteered at with a dog named Copper. He was turned in by his family with the name Gingo, which is military speak is an acronym for garbage in, garbage out. When we finally figured out this scared, skinny, beautiful red dog needed a name change, I suggested Copper, since he was the color of a new penny and was beginning a new life.
After many hours of work by many dedicated volunteers, Copper found a wonderful home with a single father and his two kids. He came back several times to visit and the change in him was wonderful to see.
This video made me cry. This dog, Kermit, looks so much like Copper they could be brothers. He, unfortunately, may not have much time left.
If you watch this and would like to adopt him, please contact the information on the video or pass this information along to someone who is looking for a good dog.
We believed in Copper. Kermit needs someone to believe in him.
