The return of Room with a View

Hi everyone! We are back and full of energy after taking the summer off to try and rest in the heat we had. W are happy the cooler weather is back and both of us got to go for a long walk in the back acreage yesterday to celebrate.
We have, of course been very busy with new dogs coming in. There seems to be a never-ending supply of dogs which no one wants. We don't quite understand the whole concept of getting a pet and then getting rid of it. We were found as strays running down Main Street and have lived here ever since. We are very bonded and no one ever wanted to take both of us home. This is a great place for us, but nothing beats having your own family. At least, that is what we have been told.
These two sisters came in and were in the kennel next to us, Plum and Venus. Venus got adopted to this lady with some small dogs, but Plum is still with us. She has a new kennel mate named Misty. Plum is a bull mastiff mix and she is a big girl. She is a beautiful brindle color and now she lives in a different kennel with this little dalmation mix named Misty. Misty is deaf. We heard that happens a lot with dalmations. She seems to be a nice enough young dog. I hope they can find someone who will work with a deaf dog.
Lincoln is now in the kennel next to us. He is a nice sharpei mix. He is very stressed out and needs a home really bad. He cries a whole bunch when we are trying to sleep. I wish a nice family would come in a look at him. We included his picture here, so maybe someone would see it and fall in love.
Of course, we also have a beautiful blue pit bull named Smokey. Or at least, that is what some people are calling him. I think they named him Gunsmoke and it got shortened. His playmate is Mia, who was adopted as a puppy and then brought back. She is a rough and tumble kind of girl, kind of like Natasha is (that's me) so at least they can play together until they can find another home.
Another sad story is Birky. He is a really nice guy but he is picky about who he plays with so he is living by himself now. His old owners got a new dog who was smaller and I guess Birky didn't like him, so they gave Birky to us. We should really concentrate on finding him a nice family who only wants one dog. He is very affectionate and loving.
Our old regulars are still here. They, along with us, will always live here but once in a while, they still do exciting things. Especially now the weather is cooler and we all have so much energy. The only downside of the cooler air is our room with a view. When that big door is open the wind wips through it, so it is closed when it is cold outside and our view outside is blocked. We just snuggle up in our bed and watch what is going on in the kennels.
Well, that is is for this week. We will write more in a while and go back to taking turns. We are happy to be back and able to bring you all the latest news from our home.

Love,
The Turbos
Boris & Natasha
