Deal struck to protect imperiled plants, animals

With the continued attacks from the Republicans on the federal programs which protect endangered species, I was happy to read several deals had been reached between the Obama administration and some wildlife groups.
As long as our economy continues to falter, the government, federal and state, will try to take money from programs which protect those things not important to their agenda. They will mask it as looking out for the taxpayer but continue to have their own pork barrel projects which costs can be in the hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars.
