Two Polk County Residents Charged With Animal Cruelty
It always saddens me to read stories like this one. The reason I always link them is because I want my readers to stay aware of how prevalent cruelty to animals is in this state and how much work still needs to be done.
I grew up in Polk County and can tell you it is the 5th largest county in land area in the state. Lakeland is the largest city in the county but Bartow is the county seat. There is a lot of land in Polk that is undeveloped and there are a lot of cruelty cases and dogfighting cases which come out of there. Thankfully, these two people were charged with four felonies and three misdemeanors. Sadly, they found several dead puppies.
