Two seniors in Davie, Florida need someone to step up for them

I know, I know. Here I go again with the senior animals. My heart just goes out to them because they have done nothing wrong and are victims of their circumstances. So please, if you can do anything, or know of someone who can help this lady and her dogs, contact them. It is the giving season.
This is a heart breaker. These two dogs were rescued from a garage as puppies and lived their entire lives together. One year ago the family split up, lost everything, house, job, marriage. The father took the two dogs, Max and Johnny, to live in a friends house and the mom moved into a room at a friend's home with her son who is seriously ill. Three months ago, the mom walked outside to find her two senior dogs tied to a car outside her friend's house. Evidently Johnny and Max's dad lost his home again and was forced to live in his car. He had nowhere to put them and so once again, nowhere for Max and Johnny to go. The mom called every rescue and every shelter trying to find a safe place for them. She spent the last dollars she had for the month on boarding Max and Johnny at a groomer and tried to make them as beautiful and clean as she could to find them a home. She could only afford one week of boarding and ultimately drove from Miami to Jupiter to a shelter which told her that they would take them. When she got there , they said they would not. Then she went to another shelter and signed the owner surrender form and was about to relinquish them to the shelter when she saw a sign on the wall informing the public it was NOT a no-kill facility. She asked them to explain what that meant. They told her that even though her dogs were beautiful, healthy and extremely sweet, that they were old and people don't like to adopt older dogs. They told her that there was no guarantee that they would keep her dogs alive. She could not leave Max and Johnny to be killed and left the shelter. With Max and Johnny in the car, sitting on the side of the road with nowhere to take them, she started calling rescues and someone gave her my number. I also tried to find someone who could help her but was unsuccessful. I told her I would help her by paying for a week of boarding and in that time we would look for a place for them. It is now three and a half months later and over $1,000 in boarding fees. Still no hope and I just have no ideas left for her and I can't continue to pay for their boarding.
I know it is possible to find them a home. They are 10 yo and so very friendly and healthy. They are all each other have. They are mourning the loss of their family and depressed in the kennel after spending their lives with a loving family. Please do not give up on them. She needs help to keep these guys alive. Aside from the expense of boarding them, they really need to get out of a kennel. They are no trouble and the kennel staff says they are amiable and non-aggressive with other dogs. Continue to share their story and post them everywhere. The mom has nothing and nowhere for them to go. They can't live in a kennel for the remainder of their lives, which could be many, many years. Call me, Kathy, 305 401 4693 if you can help this woman find a home for her two very loved senior boys.
